Florence Howard students were treated to a special visit from some South Alabama athletes.  Baskeball and softball players graciously shared their stories with the children about how they became athletes.  While all their stories were different, all of them stressed the importance of maintaining good grades and working hard. The athletes didn't just leave their words of encouragement.  At the conclusion of the assembly we were informed that Saturday 29th  will be Florence Howard Day! All students and faculty members  received a voucher for two free tickets to watch the South Alabama Jags football team in action!  We are very excited by the partnership with South Alabama and look forward to working with them in the future.
